The American International Motorcycle Expo Narrows its Search to a Pair of Potential Host Cities

CAPISTRANO BEACH,
 Calif.
(April 4, 2012) – Starting with an initial list of more than 10 cities,
the search for the ideal venue for the American International
Motorcycle Expo, set for Fall 2013, has been pared to two locations.
Spanning a number of months, the Marketplace Events team of Larry
Little, Cinnamon Kernes, and Mike Webster have traveled extensively
throughout the country in search of the perfect venue and city. Their
perseverance will result in a forthcoming announcement in the weeks
ahead.

“The search has taken us far and wide in our mission of
finding the perfect destination for AIME, and it’s become a ‘Tale of Two
Cities’” said Little, Vice President & General Manager, Motorcycle
Group. “AIME’s aspiration is to become the single-most-important show of
its kind in North America, with industry, press, retailers, and
consumers in one place at one time, so an ideal location is one of our
highest priorities.”

“While there are plenty of quality venues
to host the show, we’re balancing a number of key considerations which
have narrowed the field,” said Mike Webster, President, Trade Show
Division of Marketplace Events. Drawing on his 30 years of trade- and
consumer- show production, he added, “A great venue needs to have a
welcoming climate for retailers, and be accessible and
motorcycle-friendly to a large base of motorcycle consumers, while
offering the best overall cost efficiencies for exhibitors.”

Since
hosting over 300 members of the motorcycle industry in Indianapolis
just over a month ago, the marketplace has been eagerly awaiting the
expo’s next big announcement.

“We know the industry is anxious
to learn the specific date and city,” said Show Manger Cinnamon Kernes.
“We are just as anxious to be sure that we get it right for all
participants in AIME. We’re very close and look to make a formal
announcement by month’s end.”

In the days leading up to the
announcement, AIME will offer hints and sneak peeks as to which city and
venue will serve as the home of the show in Fall 2013. Keep up to date
