Testing has JDR Motorex KTM’s Reardon ready for Wodonga MX Nationals

JDR Motorex KTM’s lone Pro
Open class contender Dan Reardon will be looking to take advantage of
testing carried out by the team in the lead-up to this weekend’s
seventh round of the Rockstar Energy Drink MX Nationals at Wodonga in
Victoria.

Reardon debuted
KTM’s 450 SX-F at round six of the series in Coonabarabran a
fortnight ago with little preparation after riding the 350 SX-F in the
early rounds, and team manager Danny Ham is confident we could witness the
Queenslander’s best form of the year.

“The team has been testing with Dan this week and
everything has been going to plan,” Ham explained. “Dan has
been happy with the settings we have worked on and we are confident that we
will be able to continue making progress with a good result this
weekend.”

Reardon will remain
the team’s lone Pro Open class rider, with teammate Ryan Marmont
still out with an ankle injury. Reardon sits 11th in the series, winning a
single moto at Raymond Terrace earlier this year.

The Pro Lites category has seen 2009 series champion Matt
Moss in superb form for JDR Motorex KTM in his first year with the squad,
leading the series by a comfortable 54 points after six rounds.

Moss, who turned 23 at the beginning of June,
will be looking to return to the winner’s circle on Sunday after
going three-straight rounds without the overall. He’s now 100 percent
fit after suffering a fractured shoulder blade before round four.

Also in the battle for a podium placing in
the series is Moss’ teammate Brenden Harrison, of Queensland, who
sits just one point out of third and only 21 from second in the standings
to date.

Rookie sensation Josh
Cachia, the current Under 19s champion in his first season of Pro Lites
competition, is currently a solid sixth in the series. The 19-year-old
Victorian will be a fan favourite come Sunday.

Another KTM to keep an eye on this weekend is American
teenager Aaron Siminoe, who will ride under the JDR Motorsports banner in
the Pro Lites on an MXRAD-supported 250 SX-F.

In the Under 19s development category it has been Coastal
KTM’s Jay Wilson who has proven the in-form rider, winning both
rounds five and six, now striving to carry that momentum into the Wodonga
round. Wilson sits seventh in the standings in what is his rookie
season.

Round seven of the 2011
Rockstar Energy Drink MX Nationals, Australian Motocross Championship, will
take place at Wodonga in Victoria this weekend on Sunday, 3 July.
