Monster Energy/ Pro Circuit Kawasaki Sweeps Top-Two Spots Again!

The Monster Energy/Pro Circuit Kawasaki squad continued its dominance at round three of the Lites Eastern Regional Supercross Championship held inside Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana, as points leader Christophe Pourcel and his teammate Austin Stroupe dominated the event.

But it wasn’t without a little good fortune. When the Lites main event got going, Stroupe and Pourcel were both near the front, but got caught up in a first-turn crash. The race was red-flagged and restarted, with Pourcel taking the holeshot the second time around, and Stroupe jumping into second.

Stroupe, who seemed to have the speed to win a week earlier in Atlanta, caught and passed his teammate early in the main event and began to pull away. Although Pourcel began catching him again in the late-going, Stroupe took the win with about a second to spare over his teammate.

“I really feel like I should’ve had this win last weekend,” Stroupe said. “But it’s nice to get it out of the way so that I can focus on just making sure I put myself in the position to repeat next week. I know I can do it.”

Stroupe still trails his teammate by 15 points in the championship chase with five rounds left to run.

Pourcel wasn’t that happy with second, after winning the opening two rounds of the series.

“Today, I think the result was good because I was still battling the same sickness I had last week and it could have been a lot worse for me if the restart hadn't happened,” Pourcel said. “After we watched the tape, you could see Durham hit me and drove into Austin, and that put us both down. Fortunately, our bikes weren't too damaged and we were able to take the start again and make the same result on the restart.”

The Monster Energy/Pro Circuit Kawasaki team heads to unpredictable Daytona International Raceway on Saturday for round four of the Lites East.

Terminal Velocity executives were on-hand after meeting with Indianapolis Motor Speedway to discuss how Terminal Velocity Processing can assist their business. “It was great having both Jim Wilson (CEO) and Norma Kay (President) here to see how well our company is being accepted into this industry”, exclaimed Terminal Velocity Processing’s Marketing Director, Joe Parsons. “Of course, taking the top two podium spots again was the perfect end to a great trip.”
