Team WMR/Nihilo Concepts Teams up with RPM Racing Team for Snowshoe GNCC

Stuart, FL. (June 20, 2012) - Team WMR KTM/Nihilo Concepts Off-Road is teaming up with Canadian Enduro Champion Bobby Prochnau who rides for FMF/ RPM/ KTM Racing Team Maxxis. Prochnau will be riding a WMR/Nihilo KTM350 SXF at the Snowshoe GNCC event this weekend.

This all came about when Mike Hurlbert from RPM offered a bike for Team WMR's Rory Mead to ride at X-Games. Team WMR decided to drive Rory's race bike out to California with the race rig and all the tools and spare parts needed for X-Games instead. But Mike mentioned that he was looking for a bike for Prochnau to ride at Snowshoe. Team WMR had Rory's 350 that he raced during the first part of the year available, so WMR offered a lending hand to a fellow KTM support team from the west coast.

Prochnau will be pitted under the Team WMR tent with team issue graphics. WMR prepped the bike and will provide mechanical and pit support for this race.

"This will be Bobby's first GNCC event" remarked team owner Mike Hurlbert. We think this race will play into Bobby's strengths. Prochnau finished 9th in last years Endurocross Championship and 3rd in the Tennessee Knockout last year. We hope Bobby will become a top GNCC contender in the next couple years. WMR has been very helpful in setting up a really strong KTM 350 for Prochnau to put in a strong effort. We really want to thank WMR, Rob, George, Bob and everyone for giving us this opportunity.

Our working relationship with WMR/Nihilo began when FMF/ RPM/ KTM Racing Team Maxxis started using Nihilo Products. A few years ago, FMF/ RPM/ KTM Racing Team Maxxis sent a female rider to try out GNCC. Her name is Maria Forsberg. "Maria rode for our team for 9 years" Commented Hurlbert. "I remember when people warned me she would be out of her element because she is a West Coast rider". "I'm hearing some of the same warnings about Bobby Prochnau". Laughs Hurlbert. "Maybe we will refer to him as the rider from the North Pole. Actually Bobby works as a logger in British Columbia, Canada". Probably the most important thing to remember is we all love racing and riding motorcycles". "Bobby will do his best and have fun doing it".
