Team Shasta Encourages the Motocross Industry to Join the Breast Cancer Movement and Donate $20 Today

San Diego, CA – September 13, 2007 – Team Shasta will join thousands of other dedicated women and men at the San Diego Breast Cancer 3-Day benefiting Susan G. Komen for the Cure and the National Philanthropic Trust Breast Cancer Fund. After months of training and fundraising, we will walk 60 miles during three days to raise awareness and funds for critical research and community outreach programs. Show your support by donating $20 to the team member with the lowest donations. Click Here To Donate Now! Or visit www.teamshasta.org for more information.

Team Shasta was started by Shasta Johnson a current breast cancer patient who is participating not only for the herself, she is also walking in honor of her sister Fiona who lost the battle against breast cancer in 2005 at age 29. Shasta’s team includes her husband, Richard Cam Johnson and two of close friends, Shaloe Nations and Kimberly Lavender.

“As Breast Cancer 3-Day participants, we have the opportunity to celebrate breast cancer survivorship, honor those who lost their lives to the disease, and ultimately, have an enormous impact on awareness and funding for breast cancer research and community outreach programs,” said Johnson. “The Breast Cancer 3-Day is challenging, and fun, and the memory of our personal accomplishments will last a lifetime. As a member of the motocross industry I have not experienced what cancer can do to a family, I know there are many others like me. This gives them an opportunity to reach out and do something about it as well. Supporting a cause like this really gives you a lot of personal satisfaction and accomplishment. That is good for everyone.”
