Team San Manuel's James Stewart Flawless in Anaheim

Anaheim, CA
- Team San Manuel Yamaha Red Bull’s James Stewart
did not disappoint a sold out crowd of 45,050 fans at Anaheim 2,
winning back to back races and his third of the season.  As if
Stewart’s signature speed wasn’t enough, he rode a flawless race on one
of the most technical tracks of the season, being the only to master a
triple-quad-quad section of the track that gave him a competitive
advantage over all others.   The day was near perfection for Stewart
posting the fastest qualifying lap time in practice, leading all laps
in both his heat race and the main event.  Anaheim’s win gives Stewart
a five-point lead in the series and his fifth podium finish.  “I
couldn’t be happier with my performance tonight,” Stewart said.  “I was
feeling super confident out there and am stoked to get two wins in a
row.”

Placing tenth in Heat 2, Stewart’s teammate Kyle Regal
had to race the LCQ to earn his place in the night’s Main event.  A
great start in the LCQ had Regal in front leading all six laps to
qualify for the Main.  Regal had a rocky start in the main beginning in
13th position and dropping a few spots along the way; however, he
powered through making his way to an 11th place finish. “The track was
super technical tonight,” Regal said.  “I didn’t do as well as I hoped,
but I definitely learned a lot tonight.”

Stewart and teammate Kyle Regal were all decked out in pink from head to toe and wheel to wheel, for Anaheim’s Breast Cancer Awareness race.

Stewart is currently ranked 1st with 117 points and Regal is ranked 13th with 38 points.
