Press Release

Team Babbitt's Salt Lake City SX‏

Muskegon, Mi (May 1, 2011) Babbittsonline.com - Babbitt's Motorsports Racing

Coming back from his
first weekend off since the beginning of the 2011 racing season Tyler
Bowers was ready to prove that his recent heavy duty Supercross
practicing at Kawasaki’s test track had paid off – and shake off any
bad luck he had suffered in Seattle with his broken brake lever.

Suffering from an
early afternoon practice crash Bowers was running well within a
qualifying position in his Heat Race until being taken out by another
rider (Kyle Regal) and crashing.  Eventually Tyler got back going
again, and finished twelfth which required a trip to the Last Chance
Qualifier.  Rounding turn in in the top five, Tyler soon took control,
and won the LCQ; later stating “ I finally relaxed a bit after the day
and got some lines dialed in; which helped a lot.”

When the main event
took off Tyler Bowers and his Babbitt’s KX450F would start just inside
the top twenty.  “Coming from a horrible gate pick, and resulting bad
start I felt great, but I had some trouble adapting to Supercross where
the pace in the early laps isn’t quite as intense as in Arenacross.  So
I got caught up with a couple of riders and got frustrated, and just
had a few bad laps.  Later I just relaxed more, and made up time but
then the race was over” said Tyler.  Bowers would eventually move up
several positions and into fifteenth where Supercross series veterans
Chris Blose, Michael Byrne, and Nick Wey were just ahead of him.

“I think that Tyler
rode a solid race but I know that he will finish better as his
confidence improves – we are really looking forward to Las Vegas” added
Team Manager Denny Bartz.

Stay tuned for more
from Team Babbitt’s as Tyler Bowers now tackles the Las Vegas
Supercross finale next weekend.  For more on the team, check out www.teambabbitts.com
