Team BTOsports.com/BBMX Redbud MX Race Report

Buchanan, MI – With the two week break over, the The BTO sports Motocross/BBMX race team was ready to face the heat at Redbud MX in Buchanan, MI for round six of the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship. The BTO sports Motocross/BBMX team came back from the break refreshed and prepared to bring the heat on the competition. Practice was strong for all three team riders and they would carry that momentum in to the afternoon.

Michael Byrne jumped out of the gate in the first moto up front, and as the heat of the day set in, Byrner would ride solid for a 10^th spot finish. The second moto he would gate on the inside line, where he would get another great start to gain himself valuable track position in 8^th spot. He would have to back it off mid moto as a nasty hand blister developed on his left hand, finishing again in the 10^th spot. This would give Byrne 11^th overall for the day.

Jimmy Albertson would start the first moto solid and right behind teammate Michael Byrne for the first part of the moto. While running in 15^th Jimmy would have the transmission in his bike let go, handing him 38^th in the first moto with a dnf. The second moto “Top” Jimmy would rebound from a crash off the start, charging hard through the field finishing in the 17^th position for 21^st overall for the day.

Jason Thomas defiantly showed that he is still a contender for the win every weekend. The first moto he put on a clinic for the riders behind him, carving all the way up to 21^st place by the checkered flag. With the Rocky theme song on repeat in his head, JT$ came out and rode another solid moto, making team manager Forrest Butler proud. At the end of the second moto, JT would secure the 25^th spot, giving him 27^th overall for the day.
