THOR MX, the originator of modern motocross and off-road apparel, is hiring for a Product Specialist role, based out of their Poway, CA headquarters. 

This position focuses on a thorough understanding of the THOR product line and the ability to completely convey this information to the Parts Unlimited Salesforce and retail buyers in tradeshows or retail settings and beyond. This position will focus on the activation, coordination, and completion of tasks directly associated with sales and marketing objectives. An ideal candidate would have experience with sales from both the dealer/ rep, and brand perspective. Applicant must possess excellent communication skills, understanding the brand

message and effectively communicating that message to both our internal sales group and our dealer accounts. The candidate must also be an excellent listener, gathering information from the field for strategic planning purposes in conjunction with internal marketing, design, and operations groups. This position requires excellent organizational and clerical skills, strong communication, network and writing skills and solid insight into the powersports market and core demographic. Candidate must be energetic, highly motivated, and service oriented. The successful candidate will be able to work within internal policies to provide our reps, dealers and consumers with a satisfying and positive experience. Candidate must be able to effectively negotiate sales force concerns, complaints, warranties and suggestions via email, phone, or in person. Applicants must be organized and able to support sales and service procedures and administrative projects.


Position Overview:

• Conduct well-prepared, educational, engaging presentations for both internal and external customers

• Train, motivate, and work directly with distributors sales forces

• Attend sales support functions such as trade shows, showcases, and promotional events

• Promptly respond to inquiries (written and verbal) and effectively communicate with dealers, sales reps, end customers, and internal staff

• Extremely organized, reliable, and detail oriented

• Great with people, professional, patient and composed

• Possess a dynamic, positive and fun can-do attitude

• Assist sales staff with product ordering, inventory and fulfillment inquiries

• Maintain global sales events schedule and update as needed - post schedules to applicable parties

• Work as a point of contact for our sales reps and dealers and be well-versed in the knowledge of our account

base and rep force

• Organize and maintain account base information files and run reports as requested

• Work directly with corporate office to ensure compliance and integration with company directives and

procedures for sales department

Job Requirements

• Two+ years of sales experience including overseeing other junior sales personnel

• Two+ years of powersports or action sports brand sales/marketing experience

• BA in Business/Marketing or similar work experience

• Analytical skills to dissect consumer, retail, financial and operational information and

create/adjust plans

• Proven ability to train and motivate other sales staff

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Travel: approximately 25%
