Supercross Rookie Teddy Parks Joins the MotoPR Family

Athlete made four Lites main events this season and is now getting ready for the Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship

DETROIT (May 12, 2009) – MotoPR is proud to announce that Monster Energy AMA Supercross rookie Teddy Parks has signed a representation agreement with the agency. He was a rider on Team DNA Energy Drink/Shea Racing that made its first foray into AMA Supercross this year. During Parks’ rookie Supercross season, he qualified for all eight East Region night programs and made it into four 250cc Lites main events with the best finish of 14th place.

Parks, who lives in Princeton, Texas northeast of Dallas, will compete in a number of the Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship rounds starting with round three, the Flagstar Bank National at Freestone Raceway in Wortham, Texas on Saturday, June 6. He is the process of setting up his program for the 450cc premier class on a fuel-injected Suzuki RM-Z450.

In 2008, Parks had six wins and five second place finishes in the pro class at regional races that include Cooperland in Oklahoma and Three Palms in Texas. He began working with Charlie Bogard of the Bogard MX School last year and the coaching continues to show benefits. Bogard is an accomplished former AMA Arenacross/Motocross racer.

“I saw how successful MotoPR was in getting coverage for Team DNA Energy Drink/Shea Racing during the Supercross series,” said Parks. “Once we decided to do more outdoor rounds this year, we needed to step up our program and add an agent. We’re putting together a competitive independent program for the premier class. My goal after a few rounds is to consistently finish in the top 15.”

Parks competed in three AMA Pro Motocross Championship events last season after he turned pro in June 2008. His best finish was 26th overall at Budds Creek MX in Maryland.

MotoPR’s Bryan Peckinpaugh added, “Teddy is an athlete with a lot of potential in both competition and as means for companies to reach the youth market. I saw him ride at the Houston Supercross and it was impressive how competitive he was in his first-ever main event. It was a natural to expand our relationship with Teddy beyond Team DNA Energy Drink/Shea Racing to assist him in achieving his goals during the Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship and help build momentum into the 2010 season.”
