Saturday
March 13th Stimilon will hold the first race of the Northeast MX
schedule at Mototown USA in Windsor, CT.
Dubbed the Stimilon Winter Warmup,
this fun race is being set up as the race that “just doesn’t matter” since
there are no points or championships that are tied to any other race
series.

“The
event is set up as a prequel of sorts to allow Northeast riders a chance to
dust off their winter racing cobwebs and get ready for the NEMX or NESC season
openers just a few weeks after our race,” says Promoter David Olcott. “Everyone
wanted us to do a race early so they could get ready for their points chase
with the other organizations.”

In
true Stimilon fashion, the class names set the tone of the event.  How can you not have a good time with
names like the Jobless class (25+), the Brittle class (40A,B,C), the Yoots
class (schoolboy) and of course, everyone’s favorite – the Keeping It Real
class (the 2 Stroke Open).

There
are roughly 20 classes in total and each one is limited to the first 25 entries
in order to insure everyone gets plenty of laps.  “We limit our events because we want to give everyone a
solid day of riding.  We have all
been to races where there are qualifiers and you only get 3 laps – what’s the
point?  We have always limited
entries at our events and our racers really appreciate that because they know
they get to ride a ton with us,” stated Olcott.

The
race also has a $2000 purse making this a highly anticipated race so early in
the season.  Payout is for the top
7 in each of the two main events giving any of those who qualify a better than
1 in 4 chance of getting paid.
Details are on their web site at www.stimilon.com

But
it wouldn’t be a Stimilon Event without a huge after party.  Food, Beverages, and live Karaoke –
right in the Hotel lobby restaurant of the Hilton Garden Inn, 2 miles down the
street from Mototown.  Pre
registration is highly recommended due to the 25 rider class limits and all the
info, sign up forms, prices etc are on the www.stimilon.com
website.

This
race is not to be missed!  This is
a fun way to get ready for the 2010 Moto Season.
