FUNCHAL (Portugal), 05 October 2011 – The awarded track of Sevlievo in Bulgaria will be the responsible of hosting the UEM Motocross of European Nations during the 9th October weekend. Sixteen European countries will gather together at the Gorna Rositza track to become the best Motocross European Nation and MX-Life.tv and BNT will broadcast the whole event LIVE. Last year the UEM Motocross of European Nations took place in Markelo, the Netherlands, and the home team won comfortably the event. This weekend Herjan Brakke, Donny Bastemeijer and Ceriel Klein Kromhof are the Dutch representatives and they will land in Bulgaria willing to repeat their 2010 success. However, strong teams such as Italy, who counts with the current UEM EMX125 Champion Zecchina, or France, whose EMX Open rider is the runner up of the UEM EMX2 series Ferrandis, will not leave things easy to the Dutch riders. Team Italy was fourth last year, but this year they are one of the clear favourites to claim the Title. While Zecchina will ride in the EMX2 class, Bernardini, who missed the UEM EMX125 Title due to an arm injury, will represent his country in the EMX Open class and Monni will bring the experience to the team riding in the EMX1 class. In 2010 Team Estonia finished right after Italy in the fifth position, but this year they have a very strong team who may be able finish on the top of the podium. Leok, Ratsep and Krestinov will represent Estonia in the 2011 UEM MXoEN and these riders have already proved their talent this year by finishing in a solid tenth position in the Monster Energy FIM MXoN, which took place in France during the 18th September weekend. 2011 FIM MX3 runner up Potisek, 2010 UEM EMX125 Champion Tixier and 2011 UEM EMX2 runner up Ferrandis will represent France at this year’s UEM Motocross of European Nations. The French riders are determined to improve their last year’s sixth position and try to finish on the podium, as Team France did at the 2011 Monster Energy FIM MXoN. The runner up of the UEM EMX125 series Gajser will represent Slovenia in the EMX2 class and together with Mulec and Gercar will do their best to classify their country among the top five Nations. 2011 FIM WMX Champion Laier will represent Germany in the EMX2 class, while Baudrexl and Ullrich will ride in the EMX1 and EMX Open class respectively. Petar Petrov is heading team Bulgaria in the 2011 UEM MXoEN and Nikolay Kumanov and Nikolay Yovchev will help the GP rider to obtain a solid result in front of their home crowd.
