Several “Firsts” for Novik Gloves Last Weekend

March 10, 2011 - This past weekend was another very successful weekend for Novik Gloves pro race team.  As the company continues to grow, the results from their professional race program continues to get more and more impressive, and the season is just getting ramped up.  Here’s some highlights from this past weekends racing in Daytona as well as Wichita Arenacross.

Round 9 AMA Supercross- Daytona International Speedway

Hunter Clements (#93) had made his first career SX main event this weekend and was pumped to be part of the show.  The young racer from Weston, Missouri finished in 16th position in the Lites Main Event.  Hunter seems to fly under the radar at times, but this very talented racer had made an impression during the 2010 MX nationals and should be considered an East Coast Supercross contender.  Hunter was regularly getting inside the top 25 but an injury cut his outdoor season short.

Matthew Lemoine (#48) had a good run this weekend at the legendary Daytona International Speedway.  The MotoExtreme Kawasaki backed privateer was running in 5th position and closing in on Wharton, and stalled his bike and had trouble getting it restarted.  He ended up with a 9th in the main.

Round  8 AMA Arenacross- Wichita Kansas

Tyler Bowers (#3) wins his 5th race in a row in the Arenacross Class this weekend aboard his Babbitt’s Online backed Kawasaki.  Tyler has been making a habit of standing on the top step of the podium and now sits 31 points ahead of Jeff Gibson, currently sitting in first place in the points race.  Not too many people know Tyler is only 19 years of age, so no doubt has many years of success ahead of him.  Looking forward to Greenville, SC this weekend.

Tanner Moore (#394) wins his first Arenacross Lites Main Event in front of his home crowd.  The KTM backed rider couldn’t be more excited about how the weekend went, and had gained a good amount of points on Chad Cook this weekend, tightening up the points race.  Currently Tanner sits in 2nd in the points race, but has a lot of confidence going into the next round and hopes to change that standing.

Chase Marquier (#976) is an amateur racer from Oklahoma, but came out with a win as well in Wichita in the 85 9-15 Main Event.  Chase has been regularly getting wins in front of the Arenacross crowd, and most likely will continue this onto big bikes.

Novik Gloves couldn’t be more proud of their racers this weekend.  For a first year company to get on the top step of the podium in 3 classes at the Arenacross Round is quite an accomplishment and couldn’t be more excited at the results.  Thanks for everyone’s support and looking forward for this weekend!
