Season Recap of Monster Energy® Supercross

AURORA, Ill.(April 30, 2008) – A season recap of the 2008 Monster Energy® AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship, will air on CBS Sports Sunday, May 4 at Noon ET, one day following the season finale at Las Vegas’ Sam Boyd Stadium.

The CBS Sports one-hour season recap show will showcase a rundown of this year’s epic championship battles from the AMA Supercross and AMA Supercross Lites classes. CBS Sports takes the viewer back to Anaheim 1 for a race-by-race look back at the season’s ever-changing storyline.

Also featured on the show will be rider interviews, racing highlights and behind-the-scenes footage that will put the finishing touches on one of the finest seasons in supercross history.

After the Seattle race, Team San Manuel Yamaha’s Chad Reed saw his once dominating lead earlier this year narrow to 10 points over Torco Fuels Honda’s Kevin Windham, and the two will settle the score this weekend in Las Vegas. The two hotly contested AMA Supercross Lites class championships are broken down and analyzed, giving viewers insight how Trey Canard and Jason Lawrence earned their respective titles.

Added Ken Hudgens, vice president of television and licensing for Live Nation Motor Sports, Inc., “This is a great way to cap off another exciting season of racing. Delivering a one-hour recap show on network television culminates the 2008 season on a national platform where riders, teams and the entire industry are recognized.”

All tolled, CBS Sports will have aired nine hours of Monster Energy® Supercross this season, which has enjoyed national-network coverage on CBS Sports since 2006.
