Saturday Program Cancelled at Rain Hit Honda GP of Brazil

CANELINHA (BRAZIL), 12 September 2009 – The final round of the 2009 FIM Motocross World Championship was hit by heavy rain which made the event management cancel the Saturday program in order to preserve the track conditions for tomorrow’s Honda GP of Brazil.

With the focus of the organization, the teams and the riders being on tomorrow’s race, the decision will guarantee the best possible track conditions for tomorrow’s Grand Prix. The program of Sunday will see one practice session per class (including free practice and time practice) then the usual four heats, two per class.

In the meantime the tension remains high as the MX2 World Title is yet to be won. Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Team mates Marvin Musquin, now leading the Championship, and Rui Goncalves will battle tooth and nail tomorrow on the Brazilian course as they are the sole riders left with a Title chance. Paulin, Guarneri and Roczen complete the top five.

Recently crowned MX1 World Champion Cairoli had a busy day with interviews
