SALT
LAKE CITY, UT (March 1, 2011) Rockwell
Time/Fire Police MX/Edge/MBRP riders Lance Vincent and Landen Powell
put in solid rides this past weekend at the Georgia Dome as the
Monster Energy AMA Supercross Series hit Atlanta. Vincent carried
his momentum from his 8th
place finish in Houston and transferred directly to the Lites main
from his heat. A strong start on his Naveen built CRF250 helped
Vincent finish the night with an impressive 11th
place. Going into Daytona, Lance is sitting 7th
in points, just 3 points behind Rockstar Suzuki’s Jason Anderson.
Landen Powell, who normally contests the West Coast Lites, didn’t
want to take the weekend off and lined up against the 450’s while
still riding his KTM 250SXF. Even with a few less ponies, Landen
easily qualified into the night program and was ready to contest his
first ever 450 heat. Bike problems unfortunately would derail
Landen’s night before it really began but Powell will rebound and
be ready to go come Daytona.
“The
East coast is going really well for us. Lance has certainly carried
the Rockwell flag thus far and has put in some great rides,
especially being that this is his rookie year. I honestly believe
that we’ll see Lance on the podium before the end of the season.
He lines up to win and that goes a long way,” states Casey Bywater,
Rockwell Time Moto Team Manager.
