Press Release

Rockstar / Metal Mulisha / Cuffaro Motorsports' Brian Deegan Moves Into Third for Championship Points Race Stops 3 and 4 of the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series

LOS ANGELES, CA (May 12, 2009) - Freestyle motocross superstar Brian Deegan, ran another superb off road truck race last weekend, May 2nd and 3rd, at Stops 3 and 4 of the inaugural Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series at Speedworld Off Road Park in Surprise, AZ.

Debuting just last month, as a team/owner driver for the newly formed Rockstar/Metal Mulisha/Cuffaro Motorsports team, Deegan sits in an impressive third overall spot in the championship race, with 177 points, just four races into the season.

Qualifying 5th for Saturday's main, the 4-row inversion had Deegan's Rockstar/Metal Mulisha/Cuffaro Motorsports FORD thundering out of the first turn with a small pack immediately moving out front. Battling for position with four other drivers, Deegan ran third until the very final lap of the race when the #38 FORD suffered a front flat; Deegan was still able to hang onto a 4th place finish. Teammate Todd Cuffaro finished 12th.

Sunday's Round 4 had Deegan qualifying 4th and with a the 2-row inversion out front again. Running in the lead for almost the entire race and ahead of the series points leader Robert Naughton, Deegan went wide and Naughton snuck under his Rockstar/Metal Mulisha FORD. Battling hard in the final laps, Deegan unfortunately clipped Naughton and got sent off the track. Deegan regrouped and still managed a 5th place finish.

Teammate and 2008 Pro-Lite Rookie of the Year Todd Cuffaro finished 3rd providing the team with its second podium; the first coming from Deegan at the Round 3 stop in Primm, NV last month.

In addition to exciting, non-stop truck, buggy and kart racing, the two-day event also featured between racing freestyle motocross jump demos from the Metal Mulisha's Jimmy Fitzpatrick, Ox Kargola and Wes Agee.
