Press Release

Rockstar Energy Suzuki Europe signed Julien Lieber

Rockstar Energy Suzuki Europe has signed Julien Lieber for the 2013 World MX2 Championship to ride alongside Briton Max Anstie.

The 18 year old Belgian - who made a brief appearance for the team in 2012 with some promising results when he replaced injured Petar Petrov - will also contest the German ADAC championship and a number of other international events.

Said Lieber: "Last year it was unbelievable to be able to ride a couple of GP's with the team, but I'm absolutely thrilled to be able to ride a full season with them. It's such a difference being able to focus on my riding only; before me and my brother did everything ourselves; flights, hotels, transport, bike maintenance etc. I'm really looking forward to the season and being able to progress with my riding now it's got my 100% focus!"

With Lieber confirmed, Suzuki International Europe has another great addition to its 2013 program - that focuses on the development of talented young riders - and which also includes current 85cc World Champion Brian Hsu (EMX125) and Spanish talent Jorge Zaragoza (EMX2) competing the European Championship rounds from the Rockstar Energy Suzuki camp.

Lieber is currently preparing his 2013 season with his fellow Suzuki team mates, but recently took his RM-Z250 out for a ride with a helmet cam on his impressive home trails.
