Ricky Carmichael, MX Sports and the MillCreek Spring Classic Announce Race Schedule Accommodations

Morgantown, W.Va (February 8, 2012) -
Ricky Carmichael, MX Sports and MillCreek have worked together to
clarify the race schedule for their respective events. Families wishing
to participate in both the Ricky Carmichael Daytona Amateur Supercross
(March 11 and 12) and the MillCreek Spring Classic (March 13-17) are
able to do so.



The Ricky
Carmichael Daytona Amateur Supercross is scheduled to be complete by 4
p.m. Monday evening, so those wishing to go to MillCreek will have no
problem getting to Pell City, Alabama. According to Google, it is 515 miles from Daytona International Speedway to MillCreek Motocross Park, making the trip a smooth nine hour drive.



For those wishing
to participate in the two days of racing at the Ricky Carmichael
Amateur Supercross, MillCreek will be happy to make accommodations for
late arrivals coming from Daytona.



"It is a pleasure
to be working with Ricky and MX Sports in a combined effort to host
some of the best racing opportunities for amateur riders. We will
extend our late arrival hours on Monday, until 3:00 a.m., for those
wishing to make the drive from Daytona. For all RCSX participants,
there will be a special Tuesday morning practice before racing starts on
Tuesday," said Allen McWilliams, owner of RPM Sports and MillCreek MX
Park.



Daytona Amateur
Supercross move-in begins at 5 p.m. Friday, followed by the Pro
Supercross on Saturday. On Sunday, Amateur practice begins at 7:30 a.m.,
followed by Rider's Meeting and heat races. If time permits, last
chance qualifying sessions (LCQ) will begin on Sunday afternoon. Monday
morning kicks off with the remainder of LCQ's and the Main Events will
take place throughout the day Monday.



MillCreek Spring
Classic will host a three-moto format, which will begin with qualifying
to fill the 40-man gate on Tuesday, March 13, 2012, following the
special Ricky Carmichael Daytona Amateur Supercross late practice. For

About Ricky Carmichael



Ricky Carmichael
won 102 American Motorcycle Association (AMA) Motocross Nationals and 48
AMA Supercross main events for a record 150 major wins between 1997 and
2007. The Tallahassee, Fla., resident won 10 AMA Motocross
Championships and five AMA Supercross crowns, giving him a record 15
major titles in his career. After retiring from professional motocross
racing, he began pursuing a career in auto racing and was named the 2009

About 2012 AMA Thor Spring Classic



The AMA Thor
Spring Classic has consistently been a proving ground for amateur racers
of all ages. For over 20 years, this event has seen the likes of many
amateur racers like Trey Carnard, Dean Wilson, Eli Tomac and Justin
Barcia pass through on their way to becoming top ranked pro riders. For
2012, the industry, sponsors, race teams and top ranked amateurs will
once again, embark on this great event, beginning March 12, 2012. No
pre-qualifying is necessary. The race will host a 3-moto format, using
heat races to qualify the field down to a 40-man gate. The main motos
will include 15-20 minutes of bar-to-bar racing with a site lap before
each gate drop.
