Ramon takes double victory in
Belgian Champs opener
Following his great performance
securing second place in the Dutch GP last weekend, Steve Ramon continued
his strong form winning both motos at the opening round of the 2010 Belgian
Motocross Championship, held in Beervelde yesterday.
The multiple Belgian and World
Champ grabbed a great start in the opening moto taking an early lead. De
Dycker looked to be the only threat as the two ex-team mates battled it out
lap after lap for the 5000 strong cheering crowd. Towards the end Ramon
took command, eventually crossing the line 11 seconds ahead.
Moto would see another hole-shot
for Ramon as he powered his Rockstar Teka Suzuki around the circuit out
front. Riding a very controlled and mistake free race the
‘Bomb’ lead every lap taking the win and putting him on top of
the points table with a perfect score.
Ramon now prepares for Round 4 of
the MX1 World Championship, help in Agueda, Portugal, next
weekend.
