Race Tech Supported Team Peterson Dominates in 2012

Team Peterson Racing is the most sucessful team in the history of Hillclimb, so it may not be too much of a shock to hear that amongst their three riders, the Race Tech supported trio brought home four championships, five podiums, seven top five finishes and nine top ten placings in the championship! The team also captured the Team of the Year award, as well as rider Bret Peterson taking home the Rider of the Year award! That is some serious hardware!

Bret Peterson, the 2012 NAHA Rider of the Year led the team by taking the 450 Pro, X-Climb, and Open Class Championships. Bret also lost the tie breaker for the championship in the 700cc class and finished second.

Chelsea Saylors did her part to add to the hardware collection for Team Peterson Racing by capturing the Women's championship.

Austin Fox was forced to miss the last round of racing with an injury, but was still able to secure two top five finishes and a couple more top ten finishes in the 450cc, 700cc, Open, and X-Climb divisions.

"This year was simply amazing, and I hope having the number one plate on my bike I will be able to take the reigns of the sport and lead it in a great direction to help it grow," said Bret Peterson.

He continued, "The Open CC Championship on the 900 meant a lot to me. Learning to tackle a bike with that much horsepower took a lot of work. The extra attention testing and tuning on our suspension made a huge difference for me. It was a game changer, if you look back over my results; nothing else in my program really changed besides the tuning with Race Tech. I can't wait to see what next year brings, I'm already amazed we can hit ledges while going straight up with the horsepower and speed under us and the suspension just soaks it up."

"Teaming up with Team Peterson Racing not only allows us to put the Race Tech brand on top of the podium more often than not and look great in the pits; but more importantly, it allows us to continue research and development to make a better product. If we can tame a 950cc hillclimber smashing into rocks and ledges, what can't we develop our Gold Valves to do? The Peterson's have a long legacy in hillclimb, and the sport is in great hands with Bret holding the number one plate in multiple classes to grow the sport. We are happy to support the team and the whole sport of hillclimb racing," stated Race Tech's Director of Marketing Chris Riesenberg.
