Race Report: MDK Speed Equipment's Tyler Bowers on the Podium Again with Spokesavers in Oklahoma!

With the 8th round of the BooKoo series in the record books most Arenacross riders have turned their attention to the upcoming US Open of Arenacross race in Connecticut where the winner takes home $50,000 dollars!

This past weekend was a little rough for some of the MDK Speed Equipment - SpokeSaver sponsored Arenacross team except for the number 911 rider, Tyler Bowers. On Friday Bowers posted a 2nd in the 250 class and a 2nd in the 450 class.

Zach Ames had a rough time in the 250 class where he finished 15th, but made a good rebound in the 450 class where he finished 6th.

The newest member of the team David Hill posted a 10th in the 250 class and 13th in the 450 class.

On Saturday things came around a little better for the team Tyler Bowers cashed in on another 2nd place in the 250 class , with teammate Zach Ames getting to the 5th position where he would finish. David Hill had some trouble sorting out the riders and finished 12th.

With Tyler Bowers taking three 2nd place finishes on the weekend it was time for him to get where he was looking to be all weekend. After riding behind #33 Darcy Lange all night Tyler wanted to get in front of him and stay there and that's exactly what he did when he posted his 5th win of the series two in the 250 class and three in the 450 class.

Bowers' teammate Zach Ames struggled all weekend and could never find a rhythm on the track where he finished 8th in the final 450 race. David Hill finished 15th.

Once again Tyler, Zach and David want to thank all the people who make it possible for them to ride and race every week and that includes a special shout out to team manager Tim Bowers, mechanics Dave Strausbaugh, Zac Petterson and all the great team sponsors:

ABOUT SPOKESAVERS:

Spokesavers give several advantages to the rider, but even greater advantages to the mechanic. If a rider breaks a spoke, chances are he would not finish the race. With Spokesavers, they will secure the broken spokes so you can. Spokesavers also cool the rotors, allowing the rider to speed into the corners harder and with better brakes.

For the mechanics, Spokesavers are the answer. Spokesavers work double time, all the time, keeping the spokes tight twice as long, and add double the life to your rims and spokes. Also, Spokesavers make changing the rims a task that anyone can do by holding the spokes in place for you. With the time saved on just tightening the spokes, Spokesavers pay for themselves, let alone all of the other positive features.
