April Racing Recap

Lynden, WA (May 6, 2016) - The RPM/FMF/Maxxis/KTM Racing Team continues to gain momentum this season as they accelerated through April. Riders across the country grabbed victories and podium performances in pursuit of their respective title hunts.

"Our team is looking pretty good this year. We have assembled a great group of riders and sponsors to compete in multiple series across the globe," says Team Owner, Mike Hurlbert. "We are looking forward to see what we can accomplish in the summer months".

West Coast

Ty Tremaine continues to train and prepare for his pro debut in the highly contested EnduroCross championship that kicks off in August. Follow along with the Nevada native, and recent runner-up at the Virginia City Grand Prix, as he continues to post wild skill videos on his social media accounts.

Eric Yorba kicked off the month of April with a dominating win at the AMA Big 6 Grand Prix. A huge holeshot and a run-away victory were clear signs that Yorba was back up front where he belongs. His new-found confidence showed in strong finishes in the WORCS series too. Eric finished out April with another Big 6 win in the mud of Primm, Nevada.

Dante Oliveira's tear on the west coast off-road circuits continued this month as the #356 captured wins at the Sand Hollow WORCS round in the 250A and Pro 2 Lights classes. Dante also captured overall wins in the AMA Western Hare Scramble Series. He currently leads the 250 Pro class.

Travis Coy has maintained a solid season with podiums in the WORCS and AMA Western Hare Scramble Series and finishing 3rd behind teammate Ty Tremaine at the Virginia City Grand Prix. Coy has his sights set on podium performances and looks to achieve those goals as he currently stands in the top 5 for AMA WHS and top 10 in WORCS.

Ricardo Angelini remains a front runner at the WORCS Racing Series in the 450A division. After a slow start to the season, Angelini has shown huge improvements as he adapts to the KTM. He looks to build momentum as the season progresses into the summer.

East Coast

Jesse Ansley's season has been one for the books as the Florida youngster has won 4 out of 5 races in the GNCC 200A class. His improvements on the bigger bike have been apparent with great starts and huge wins. Ansley also landed a spot in the highly anticipated off-road film"From The Other Side".

Rachel Gutish has fought through injury and adversity after pre season injuries plaugued her early on. Our WXC representative scored a podium finish at the Full Gas Enduro, and continues to show improvements as her season presses on. Most notably, Rachel Qualified for the ISDE 6 days Women's USA team and will compete in Circuito DeNavarra, Spain.

Mike Witkowski is back and better than ever. A strong 2nd place finish at the OMA Nationals and great starts in the GNCC XC2 class show he has the speed to run up front. Check out Mike's social media pages and listen to his RPM Racing backed- KTM 2 stroke sing in the woods.

Jubal Brown has chosen the KTM 125SX as his weapon of choice this season. The small bore pre-mixer seems to be a great fit, and wins in the A class at the NEPG National Enduro Series show strong signs of big things to come for the #590 machine.

Evan Smith has been one of our most improved riders this season as the rookie pro battles for position inside the top 10 at the NEPG National Enduro and Full Gas Enduro Series. Unfortunately Evan broke his shoulder at the Full Gas Sprint Enduro in West Virginia. Evan has vowed to be back stronger that ever.Smith is another rider featured in the "From The Other Side" movie.

Drew Higgins can be found by the sounds of his KTM 2 stroke amongst the trees of the NEPG National Enduros and Full Gas Enduros. Higgins and Smith usually run neck and neck as they battle for top 10's in the Pro classes. Higgins currently claims the 7th spot in the NEPG points standings.
