Pro Circuit Race Report: St. Louis SX

CORONA,
Calif., (March 5, 2012) – The Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis proved
to be a tough competitor for the Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki
boys. Darryn Durham, Blake Baggett, and Broc Tickle had their work
cut out for them, as the technical St. Louis track made for some
interesting racing.

Baggett
felt confident going into St. Louis. He was coming off a great
runner-up finish in Atlanta, and was hoping to get a podium streak
going as the Supercross Lites East series was entering its third
round. A third-place heat race finish set him up for a decent gate
pick in the 250 Main, but a less-than-ideal start forced him to fight
his way through the pack for the remainder of the race, causing him
to finish ninth. A ninth-place finish is not what Baggett was hoping
for, but he is brimming with the focus and determination needed to
get back on the box this Saturday in Daytona, a race he won last
year.

Teammate,
Darryn Durham, had a job to do in St. Louis. He was looking to
improve on last Saturday’s performance in Atlanta, where he
finished fifth in the Supercross Lites East Main. A second-place
finish in the heat race earned him a decent gate pick in the 250
Main, but a mid-pack start made his job a bit harder, and he was
forced to fight his way up to the front. He charged through the pack
and finished just off the podium, in fourth.

Tickle
got a great start in his heat race.

Broc
Tickle was also looking to improve on his previous-race performance.
A great start in his heat race gave him a confidence boost as he
prepared for the Supercross Class Main. A mid-pack start in the Main
caused him to put on a charge and fight hard as he moved through the
pack. He ended up finishing just outside of the top ten, and is now
looking to get back inside the top ten this Saturday in Daytona.
