Press Release

Paulin to step up to MX1 for Italian Grand Prix‏

Monster Energy Yamaha will allow Gautier Paulin will steer the YZ450FM
in the MX1 category for the fifteenth and final round of the FIM
Motocross World Championship. The Frenchman will make his debut in the
premier class after Steven Frossard was unfortunately forced to withdraw
from the event.

Paulin, who scored seven podium results on the
YZ250FM in the MX2-GP category and was assured of fourth position in the
standings last weekend in Germany, has been given the chance on the
factory machine to help Yamaha consolidate second place in the
manufacturer’s standings and also gain valuable track time at his own
wish for his role with the French team for the 65th Motocross of Nations
at St Jean D’Angely next weekend. The added presence of ‘21’ in the
MX1-GP pack could provide some assistance to his absent team-mate in
terms of keeping the number two plate for 2012.

The 21 year old fills the awning alongside Carlos Campano with Anthony Boissiere also on YZ450F technology.
