Owen extends his lead in Grand Rapids!

Owen extends his lead in Grand Rapids with 67 out of a possible 68 series points.

It tastes good to win!!

Jace Owen almost repeated his perfect weekend score of last week, only missing out on the extra point in the head to head contest. He started out the night by qualify first with the fastest time in the timed practices giving him first gate pick on the heats. A second in heat got him directlt to the mains and the head to heads races. Jace won all the head to head heats leading to the final heat which he was leading until a small bobble on the last lap left him in the runner up spot.

Jace picked it up when it really counted and took home the win in the first Main event after the early leader Jacob Hayes crashed on the rutted track. In the second main Jace left no doubt as he led wire to wire to start the year 4 for 4 in main event wins. Jace now has an 11 point lead and has 67 out of a possible 68 points for the year. It looks like a good year for Honda 2 overalls in AX to match their 2 overalls in SX. Life is good on a Honda.

Ben Lamay started out well with a third in his heat race qualifying directly to the mains and the head to head heats. He had the most exciting head to head race with a last turn pass on Blose for the win. Ben tghen had a rough night after going down in the whoops while running in 4th. Luckily he was ok and finished 11th. That crash regulated him to the second row for the second main and on the hard to pass trach a 9th was the best he could do. Look for him to come back strong in Baltimore next week.

Our guest rider Cameron Mcadoo is got two 5th places to get 5th overall and get his final “road to Supercross” points. He will be on his way to California this week to start riding with the Moto concepts team to get ready for East Coast SX.

Dillon easily qualified for the night show and look really good on the track unfortunately he tangled with another rider in his heat and that kept him out of the main event.

Next round we will be in Baltimore Md. If you’re around stop in and see us.
