"On Any Sunday, The Next Chapter" to shoot at Red Bull Day in the Dirt

CLOSING SCENES FOR DANA BROWN’S HIGHLY ANTICIPATED DOCUMENTARY “ON ANY SUNDAY, THE NEXT CHAPTER” TO BE SHOT AT LEGENDARY MOTOCROSS GATHERING RED BULL DAY IN THE DIRT

SANTA MONICA, CA (November 13, 2013) – After circling the globe and capturing the thrills, excitement and passionate stories behind all aspects of motorcycle culture, Red Bull Media House in association with Freeride Entertainment will return to the birthplace of motocross in Southern California to shoot closing scenes for Dana Brown’s motorcycle documentary “ON ANY SUNDAY, THE NEXT CHAPTER.”

Director Dana Brown (“STEP INTO LIQUID” and “DUST TO GLORY”), the production crew and many of the featured riders from the film, including Robbie Maddison, Ricky Johnson, Roland Sands and Carlin Dunne, will descend on Glen Helen, California at the end of November for what has been dubbed the “Woodstock of Motocross,” Red Bull Day in the Dirt.

What started as a one-day race in 1998 has turned into a highly anticipated three-day event that brings the racing community together to celebrate all things motorcycle. Red Bull Day in the Dirt is frequented by top riders and industry legends as well as celebrities, Hollywood stuntmen and top athletes from other sports genres who ride. There are races for all ages, skill levels and classes, including vintage bike, mini grand prix, stunt, freestyle and moto-a-go-go to name a few.

"The original "On Any Sunday" film was what started my love for motorcycle racing and it still has a strong influence on my life to this day,” said Troy Lee, founder of Troy Lee Designs and longtime Red Bull Day in the Dirt partner. “To have Freeride Entertainment, and Red Bull Media House coming out to shoot this event for the closing segment is a testament of what it has come to represent to the community.”

Brown is the son of Director Bruce Brown (“THE ENDLESS SUMMER”) who directed and produced the original Academy Award-nominated documentary “ON ANY SUNDAY” with Steve McQueen and serves as Executive Producer for this film.

“After developing this film for years with Dana Brown and kicking it off at the historic Red Bull Catalina Grand Prix, it is so fitting that the journey ends with the legendary Red Bull Day in the Dirt,” said Executive Producer Todd Huffman of Pipeline Digital Media.

“ON ANY SUNDAY, THE NEXT CHAPTER” is an exploration into the two-wheeled world of motorcycle riding. The film will journey deeper into the humanity, thrills and excitement behind the global culture of motorcycle riding; those that are bonded by their passion for the race, the exhilaration of the ride, the love of family and friendship and on a deeper level – their quest for the thrill of the next ride.

Other world champion athletes featured in “ON ANY SUNDAY, THE NEXT CHAPTER” include Travis Pastrana, James Stewart, Ashley Fiolek and Doug Henry (motocross) and Marc Marquex and Randy Mamola (MotoGP).

“ON ANY SUNDAY“ was released in 1971 and featured Steve McQueen, among many other motorcyclists of that era. The documentary film was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature in 1972.

“ON ANY SUNDAY, THE NEXT CHAPTER” will be released Fall 2014. For more information, please visit redbull.com/motorsports or follow “ON ANY SUNDAY, THE NEXT CHAPTER” via #OnAnySunday on Twitter.
