Munn Racing AnkleSavers KTM Race Report

Munn Racing AnkleSavers KTM Team went
into Atlanta with hopes to exceed our success in Dallas. The track in
Atlanta was extremely challenging and technical. Both riders Vincent
and Hackley were primed and ready to handle the technical track
design.

Traction was a key factor getting the
bikes to hook up on the red Georgia clay but after a few changes the
Dunlop 701 was the riders choice. Hackley was looking great in
practice but suffered a major mishap while going for a larger gap in
a rhythm section. The crash was similar to the crash Reed had the
week before in Dallas. Hackley suffered a first degree separation in
his left shoulder and will be out for approximately two to three
weeks of competition. Hackley visited his doctor on Monday and is
currently resting his shoulder and in good spirits to get back on the
bike as soon as possible.

Lance Vincent qualified well into the
nights program and was ready to put the Munn Racing AnkleSavers KTM
out front. Vincent got a good start in his heat race and was running
well in the top ten when he jumped off the track between track
markers late in the heat race, Vincent exited the course to get ready
for the LCQ. Lance took the holeshot in the LCQ and lead the entire
race expect the last foot when he was passed by the second place
rider. Vincent was focused and ready for the main event.

Starting from the outside his EBR
Performance motor rocketed into the first turn ahead of the pack just
to nipped and pushed out by Barcia almost off the track. Vincent
hanged tough and came around in the top five. Vincent rode hard the
entire main event and had a tough battle with Roczen. After the
battle with Roczen, Vincent started to get a bit tight and made a few
mistakes while maintaining the speed of Roczen. Vincent’s final
finish for the main event was eleventh. With many races to come Munn
Racing AnkleSavers KTM is happy where we stand in the championship
hunt at this time. We are working hard to give our riders the best
opportunity to succeed.

Munn Racing AnkleSavers KTM is also
excited to announce the addition of speedster from Clearwater,
Florida, Zack Freeberg. Freeberg will join Lance Vincent this weekend
in St. Louis and run the remaining supercross season with the team.
Also joining the team in St. Louis is long time Munn Racing rider
Tevin Tapia. Tapia will be aboard the KTM 35OSXF riding in the
Supercross class.
