Motorex KTM Off Road Racing primed as AORC resumes at Hedley‏

Motorex KTM Off Road Racing will
look to make its mark on the 2011 Australian Off Road Championship when the
season enters rounds three and four this weekend at Hedley in
Victoria.

After winning both days of the big-bore E3 category at the
opening round, last year’s E1 champion Jarrod Bewley currently ranks
as KTM’s top contender in second position Outright, just four out of
the overall lead aboard the potent 300 EXC two-stroke.

“To win the E3 class on debut with the 300
and also finish on the podium Outright was a strong result for us,”
Bewley said of the Bulahdelah opener. “It was a consistent start to
the year and should give us a strong platform to build
from.”

At February’s
first round, defending dual champion Toby Price picked up a historic round
two Outright and E2 victory aboard KTM’s all-new 2012-spec 350 EXC-F,
which was recently launched in Italy alongside the entire 2012 EXC
range.

A DNF in the opening round
on the same weekend after misjudging his fuel stop left Price sitting 19
points out of the series lead Outright, and 22 from the leader in the E2
category after the opening weekend of the year, but he’s confident he
can regain that ground lost in upcoming rounds.

“I’m glad we made up for [the fuel mishap] on
Sunday and I think I have even more left in me,” Price, 22, said
after round one. “Giving them a head start in the points should make
things interesting, but I know we have what it takes to fight
back.”

The team’s E1
contender Ben Grabham enters round three at Hedley tied for the E1 series
lead following 2-1 finishes to commence his season with the 250 EXC-F. That
form also saw him score 4-6 results Outright against his larger capacity
competition.

Saturday’s third
round at Hedley will see the gruelling three-hour Cross Country format
contested, with the more traditional Sprint Series event taking place on
Sunday for round four.
