Press Release

Moose Racing - On The Podium‏

After battling through hundreds of miles of challenging tests
and terrain, multiple bike fixes, and the occasional crash, the 2010
International Six Days Enduro (ISDE) was called off prematurely due to
escalating violence in Morelia, Mexico.

The FIM Sports Director, Ignacio Verneda offered this statement,
"Throughout this entire event, we have made security our number one
priority," Verneda said. "With recent activities between area drug
cartels and authorities, and an incident that occurred between (local
organized crime groups) and police last night here in the city of
Morelia, the FIM feels that it is best to cancel Day 6.”

While
no one associated with the ISDE was involved with the incidents taking
place Morelia, everyone agreed it was in the event and competitors’
best interests to cancel the final day of racing.

Despite the
event being shortened by a day, the various USA teams put in some
impressive results earning multiple podium finishes and gold medals.
Gold medals were awarded to those participants finishing within ten
percent of their class’ top competitor’s total elapsed time.

The
top finishing U.S. team was the Women’s World Trophy Team, made up of
Nicole Bradford, Amanda Mastin and Kerrie Swartz. The trio finished
second to France and took home a well-deserved gold medal. Bradford, a
Moose Racing rider, was the top-finishing individual in fourth place.

U.S. Junior Trophy Team riders, Taylor Robert, Ian Blyth, Nick
Fahringer and Cory Buttrick, also earned a gold medal with their third
overall finish behind Spain (2nd) and Sweden (1st).

The Team USA
World Trophy Team comprised of Kurt Caselli, Mike Brown, Destry Abbott,
Timmy Weigand and Moose Racing’s own Nathan Woods and Jimmy Jarrett
finished fourth in their division and will bring home some gold medals
for their efforts.

Also finishing fourth in their division
and earning a gold medal was the three-rider U.S. Club Team of Fred
Hoess, Andrew Delong and Wally Palmer, another Moose Racing competitor.
The shortened event actually benefited Palmer and the team as a crash
on the fourth day led to blood clotting in his right leg. Despite
excruciating pain, Palmer battled through seven hours and 175 miles to
reach the finish line on the fifth day. Upon completion of the stage
Palmer was flown back to the U.S. to have surgery on his injured leg.

Another
U.S. Club Team who earned a gold medal in Mexico was the trio of Jeff
Fredette, William Burns and Donald Williams. Fredette, who is a Moose
Racing rider and 30-year ISDE veteran, added to his growing medal count
with his 11th gold medal.

Another Moose Racing-supported rider was Lars Valin who finished in 16th place in the individual classifications.

See you next year in Finland!
