Press Release

Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki’s West Coast Riders Back in the Spotlight in Seattle

 CORONA, Calif. (April
14, 2011) -

Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki welcomes the return of
Josh Hansen, Broc Tickle, and Tyla Rattray to the Monster Energy AMA
Supercross, an FIM Championship after an eight-week hiatus as the
series traveled east. The AMA Supercross Lites, Western Region is back
in the spotlight as the riders travel to Qwest Field in Seattle, Wash.

Josh Hansen

After
racing two rounds with a broken hand and maintaining the lead in the
championship standings, Hansen is healed up and ready to widen his
points lead.

“It’s
nice to be back and at 100 percent again,” said Hansen. “It was pretty
rough racing with a broken hand. I know that if I can do well with a
broken hand, I should be able to get back on top of the podium. We’ll
see how the weather plays out, but I’m just happy to be back racing.”

Broc Tickle

Teammate
Tickle is hoping the hard work he put in during the break comes into
play in Seattle. He sits only three points down from Hansen and is
hungry to put himself out front.

“I’ve
been working hard over the break to stay focused and ready to make a
good run for the championship,” said Tickle. “It would be easy to
relax, but I really want to win the championship and I know it’s within
reach.”

Tyla Rattray

Heading
into the break with his second podium finish of the season in San
Diego, Rattray looks to continue where he left off. The supercross
rookie has shown he is capable of tackling the tough tracks and wants
to return to the podium in Seattle.

“I
had a great race in the mud in San Diego and it looks like it might be
another mud race in Seattle,” said Rattray. “I know I’m better than
seventh in the standings so I’ll be looking to get as many points as I
can over the last few races to hopefully put me in the top-five.”

The
Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki team returns to the West Coast with
the seventh round of the AMA Supercross Lites, Western Region series at
Qwest Field in Seattle, Wash. Only three rounds remain for the West
Coast riders with Hansen currently leading the series with 128 points.
Tickle is just behind him in second with 125, while Rattray is seventh
with 80 points.
