Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki’s Baggett Returns to the Podium in St. Louis‏

CORONA
Calif. (April 11, 2011) - Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki’s Blake
Baggett broke a three-race hiatus from the podium with a third-place finish at
the penultimate round of the AMA Supercross Lites, Eastern Region at Edward
Jones Dome in St. Louis. Teammate Dean Wilson worked through a seventh-place
start to finish just behind Baggett in fourth.

Baggett’s night started with a come-from-behind heat race win,
giving him a good gate pick for the 15-lap main event. He shot off the line and
grabbed the holeshot, but difficult sections to follow put him in fourth. He
worked his way up to third where he would eventually finish.

“The track was easy to make mistakes and lose time on,” said
Baggett. “I wanted to make sure I didn’t do anything that would cost me. It’s
nice to be back on the podium. I’ve been working hard, but it didn’t show in
the results. Now we get to have a little bit of a break before Las Vegas.”

Dean Wilson

Wilson was able to overcome a tough start in the main to work his
way up to fourth. He still sits second in the championship standings and now
looks to Las Vegas to finish off the season on top.

“I know I was just off the podium, but not winning and losing a lot
of points is not very fun,” said Wilson. “I am disappointed with myself because
I’ve shown that I am able to win. For the last round in Las Vegas, I just want
to go out there and show everyone that I can be the best. This season hasn’t
gone how I was hoping, but I have a lot to be thankful for and I’ll keep my
head up.”

The Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki team heads back west to Qwest
Field in Seattle, Wash. for the seventh round of the AMA Supercross Lites, Western
Region series. Riders Josh Hansen, Broc Tickle, and Tyla Rattray have had eight
weeks off to think about the championship ahead with Hansen in the points lead
with 128, while Tickle is right there with 125 points. Rattray sits seventh
with 80 points after sitting out one round with injury.
