Monster Energy Kawasaki Sweeps in Denver

Calderini wins both Lites Main

Colt Humphrey secures West Coast Lites Championship

Kelly Smith of the Monster Energy/Team Babbitts Kawasaki took the win on Friday Night and it was his teammate Brock Sellards who took the win Saturday Night, here in Denver.

It was the Tuff Honda/Bad Boy Energy rider of Chad Johnson who grabbed the hole shot and the early lead in Saturday Nights Arenacross main event.  Chad came quick off the gate and grabbed the Toyota Used Certified Vehicles hole shot that made him a quick 200 bucks.

The lead didn’t last long as Brock was able to stay close and the Kawasaki rider was able to reel in Chad and make the pass on lap 5 and the rest was history.  Brock Sellards was able to make the pass and hold on for the next 20 laps to take the win.  A late charge by Chad Johnson was not close enough and Brock ended up taking the win.

There was a great race in the back of the pack with Gray Davenport taking the final podium spot in 3rd place.  Gray had to work his tail off with hard charges from 4th place finisher Kevin Johnson and Tommy Hofmaster who finished 5th and had to come from way back to finish 5th.

In the Lites class it was a Honda sweep as the Red Riders took the top 3 positions.  All 3 riders were from the Colorado area, from Colorado Springs and Black Forest.  It was the Raced Day Performance rider of Kyle Calderini taking the win and the cash.  Hunter Meyer of Colorado Springs put in a strong ride and finished 2nd.  It was Rustin Meyer taking the final spot in the Lites main event, to make it a clean Honda sweep.
