Metzger, Bostrom, and Others Enhance Star Studded Troy Lee's "Supermoto Mayhem At The Morongo"

Cabazon, CA - November 6, 2007 - Many of the biggest names in racing including freestyle hero Mike Metzger and champion roadracer Ben Bostrom have accepted Troy Lee's personal invitation to compete in his "Supermoto Mayhem at the Morongo" AMA season doubleheader finale on Nov 10th and 11th at the Morongo Casino Resort & Spa off the 10 freeway between Riverside and Palm Springs.

Metzger is a freestyle motocross movement icon, founding member of the Metal Mulisha, and Xgames medalist. His already enormous celebrity reached untold heights, literally, with the world record backflip he performed over the Caesar's Palace fountain before a worldwide TV and online audience in 2006. Freestyle stunts aside, Metzger frequently reminds competitors and fans alike that he's every inch a racer when he lines up for motocross, supercross, roadracing or supermoto events. 'The Godfather' has also dipped his toes into the world of trophy truck and stockcar racing. As his own website aptly claims, "He will continue to push the limits of man and machine."

Metzger is listed among a group of past champion and celebrity riders joining in Mayhem's special invitational "Supermoto A-Go-Go" team race. Included on the list are roadracer Jake Zemke who will ride with promoter Troy Lee.

"In addition to the AMA national championship races, I'm hosting the 'Supermoto A-Go-Go' team race that everybody should love," said promoter Lee. "Riders from every racing genre will populate our starting gate and none of these guys wants to settle for second place. Believe me, this is an event you will not want to miss!"

Also included on the Supermoto A-Go-Go roster are former AMA motocross champ Steve Lamson who will share a KTM race bike with 4-time and reigning world downhill mountain bike champion Brian Lopes. Expectations are high that celebrity entries will continue to grow right up until race time. Count on Metzger, Zemke, Lee, Lamson and Lopes to pull out all the stops for this exhibition team event.

Equally exciting for riders is the 1.3-mile long track that they'll compete on throughout the weekend. The track, Lee insists, will be "Very fast and very challenging."

"Our Morongo supermoto track has something special for every rider," said the promoter/racer/artist. "The long, fast 100-mile-per-hour straightaways will afford plenty of passing opportunities and the dirt section is gonna force riders to make sure their MX chops are in good shape. Another very cool feature is the original Morongo casino portico that will have the racers disappearing for a second BEHIND that massive fountain! Imagine what it'll be like when the pack goes flying up and through the overpass. Awesome!
