Live Nation to Sponsor the Amp’d Mobile Supercross Hospitality Compound for AMA Team USA at 60th..

AURORA, Ill. (September 19, 2006) – When AMA Team USA, made up of Suzuki’s Ricky Carmichael and Ivan Tedesco, and Kawasaki’s James Stewart and Ryan Villopoto, makes their trans Atlantic trip to Winchester, England, for the Motocross des Nations, September 23-24, they will be hosted in the inaugural Team USA Amp’d Mobile Supercross compound thanks to the Live Nation sponsorship.

“We are big supporters of AMA Team USA,” said Todd Jendro, senior director of operations, Amp’d Mobile Supercross. “Team USA is assembled of four very talented riders, and we wanted to show our support to them by providing a hospitality compound that not only ensures the comfort of the team but the industry supporters as well.”

In an effort to provide an ‘at home’ feeling for AMA Team USA, Live Nation, the promoters and producers of Amp’d Mobile Supercross, have rolled out the red carpet in England to show their support for the team. When the team arrives to the track on September 20, an environment similar to the one they are accustomed to on the AMA circuit will greet them. Among the host of amenities, Team USA will be have first-class hospitality for families and team personnel.

“It’s a real perk for us to have this Amp’d Mobile Supercross compound at this year’s Motocross des Nations,” said Ricky Carmichael. “All of us appreciate the efforts of Live Nation at this event. They put on a first class show in the Amp’d Mobile AMA Supercross Series, and I know they will put their best foot forward to show support for Team USA.”

Assistant Team Captain Scott Taylor added, “It great to see Live Nation and the Amp’d Mobile AMA Supercross Series show their support for the team away from their event. They wanted to be a part of the team, and they stepped up in a big way.”

Team AMA USA enters the 60th annual event as defending champions. Both Stewart and Villopoto, two of the nation’s top riders in AMA competition, will compete in their first-ever Motocross des Nations. Team Captain Carmichael, who owns a record 15 AMA National Championships, is making his third Motocross des Nations.  Tedesco will be making his second consecutive trip to the Motocross Des Nations. The highly anticipated race between Carmichael and 10-time world champion Stefan Everts, who is Team Belgium’s captain, will unfold as the two complete their last full-seasons of competition. Team USA and Team England each share the record for most Motocross des Nations wins with 16.

About Amp’d Mobile World Supercross GP™/Amp’d Mobile AMA Supercross Series

Amp’d Mobile World Supercross GP, produced and promoted by Live Nation is a 17-round global off-road motorcycle stadium racing circuit.
