Legends & Heroes to Honor Nathan Ramsey at A2

January 17, 2013 ~ Manlius, NY: Nathan Ramsey, a Tennessee native, raced professionally from 1994 through 2009 and despite a late start in the sport, he still managed to have a very successful career.  Nate started trail riding as a kid.  When he was twelve, he raced a few local races back in Tennessee.  A broken leg after three races slowed him down as he stepped back from the sport for three years. Then, at fifteen, Nate was back in the saddle again!

To his career resume, Ramsey won the 1999 West Region Lites Championship. With epic wins in 2002, Nate notched the first Supercross win for Honda’s new 4-Stroke machine.  This win for Honda opened the doors for many of his factory rides, including the YZ 250F, both the CRF450R and 250R, as well as the KTM 250 4-Stroke.

“We remember Nate when he was with Pro Circuit making a name while riding for Mitch Payton.  The kid was fast on those Pro Circuit Spitfire bikes.  The Legend & Heroes Tour is fortunate to have Nate’s Pro Circuit Spitfire bike on tour this year“ stated Mike Owens Managing partner of the Legends & Heroes Tour.

Ramsey’s time at Pro Circuit added his knowledge base to translate what he learned onto many of riders he works with today.  Currently, Ramsey manages the JDR KTM race team, guiding Malcolm Stewart, Josh Cachia, Chase Bell and Joey Savagty.

Ramsey’s 125 Pro Circuit Spitfire bike will be on display in his honor at the
Legends & Heroes Moto 2 Museum in the pits at A2.
The Legends & Heroes Tour will present
Mr. Ramsey the Legends & Heroes Award on the Monster stage
Saturday, January 19th.
