Lance Smail, at the Seattle SX this Saturday!

Lance SmailApril 20, 2012 - Manlius, NY:
On December 11th 1970, Lance Smail was born in Auburn Washington.  Just
eleven short years later, Smail’s love for the sport of motocross
began.  The 1988 Seattle Supercross event is where Smail first raced
Supercross and got hooked.  The very next year, he made the podium with a
3rd place finish on a 125.   Lance made the top 10 in the west series
during four seasons of racing and raced 8 Seattle Supercross main events
during the eleven years he raced the Supercross circuit.  During this
time, he qualified for 45 Supercross’ and 125 Supercross main events.
Lance raced for factory KTM from 1996 to 1999.  He was the first rider
to campaign a four stroke in the modern era and became first rider to
qualify for a main event at Daytona '97 on hybrid KTM 550.

To his credit, Lance is a 3-Ttime 4-Stroke National Champion, 12-Time
top 100 National # holder and has an impressive 18 years racing AMA pro
races '88-'05 under his belt. His career has reached into Canada,
Mexico, Japan, South Africa, Germany and the Czech Republic.

"Lance was a racer who found his stride riding the 4 stoke in the age
of the 2-Strokers and made his mark not only on the race track but in
the development of the 4-Stroke racers.  Racing for KTM, he accomplished
three National 4-Stroke Championships and made his mark in history”
remarks managing partners Alex Moroz and Mike Owens of the Legends &
Heroes Tour.
