Seattle,
WA. - Monster Energy Supercross 2012: Rockwell/FirePolice, Rusk Racing
Decal rider Killy Rusk #84 headed into CenturyLink Field confident after
making the main events in Oakland, Anaheim and San Diego. A big crash
in the first practice session took the wind out of his sails but he
still qualified in the 20th position. 
Heat
1: Rusk had an inside gate pick. He rounded the first turn and was in a
far back position. He started moving forward making passes but his line
came together with another rider and he went down. After coming into
the mechanics area to get his brake fixed he headed back out. He put his
head down and made a charge all the way back to 10th missing the
transfer spot by inches. 

With
1st gate pick for the LCQ he was looking for an inside gate. From the
inside he was able come out with a 2nd place start and cruised his way
into the main event with the final transfer spot.

Main event-
With the far outside gate pick he got an incredible jump and came into
the first corner very close to the front. Unfortunately the pack pushed
to the outside leaving him nowhere to go. He rebounded and started going
forward again closing in on the pack. Rusk collected a 13th place
finish his second best result to date. "I'm still learning and I can't
wait for the high altitude of SLC". says Rusk.
