Kevin Johnson Scores in Albany

Robbie Smith wins his first Lites Main

AURORA, Ill., November 11, 2006 – Team Faith’s Kevin Johnson won his first Toyota AMA Arenacross main event of the season tonight in the Albany’s Pepsi Arena. Teddy Maier won the sprint to the first turn beating out Kevin Johnson and John Dowd. Shortly there after Johnson and Maier collided send Maier over the berm and out of the race. Johnson’s Sambazon Fruit Drink Yamaha went uncontested for the remainder of the event. Danny Smith powered his Fulmer, Cernic’s American Honda through the pack to finish 2nd ahead of Jim Neese. 

Guthrie Oklahoma’s Robbie Smith won an emotional AMA Arenacross Lites Final. Jim Neese and Patrick Boyle. Smith was motivated by his team manager Mike Lambert that agreed to shave his mustache to see one of his riders with the main event. Lambert has worn a mustache for nearly 40 years.
