Press Release

KYLE REGAL (No. 36 Dodge/Sycuan Casino/Hart and Huntington/Bel-Ray Racing Kawasaki) Finished 17th

“The
track was really technical and loose on top and hard underneath which
really made it tough on your setup. It was really technical for
sure. I had a decent run in the Heat Race and felt really solid on
the bike. I felt good all night. I didn’t break from the gate
like I wanted to and tired to be patient and not lay the bike down in
the first corner. I was riding along in 13th
and had an issue with a guy who t-boned me and knocked me off-course
a bit. From there I was just trying get my composure back and keep
the bike on two wheels and ride as hard as I could.

YOU
FELL FROM 13TH
TO 18TH
AND FOUGHT YOUR WAY ALL THE WAY BACK TO 13TH
AGAIN. DID YOU THINK YOU WERE GOING TO CRACK THE TOP 10?

“Yeah.
I was charging really hard and the bike felt great. It was so
rutted-up in the whoop section and washed-out in the corners that it
was just really technical. For about 10 laps or so I was just
rippin’ it up and knocking guys off until I got t-boned again with
around two or three laps to go and that just ruined the night. I’m
positive I could have rode inside the top 10.”

WAS
IT AN ISSUE WITH GETTING COLLECTED WITH LAPPERS? “Not really.
Sometimes guys just over ride and you’re in the wrong spot and the
wrong time. To have that happen to me twice in one night is a drag.
I’ll move on. Our bikes are fast. We’ll get some good rides in
this week and head to Houston next weekend.”
