KTM Takes North American Sales Team to KTM Factory

KTM
North America, Inc. recently took their entire North American sales
force to the KTM Sportmotorcycle AG headquarters in Mattighofen,
Austria for sales training at the factory level.

Sales
managers from the United States, Canada and Mexico attended the week
long trip at the factory. The trip was organized to provide official
training on the 2012 model line features and benefits as sales
managers prepare for the upcoming KTM dealer meeting.

“This
trip was designed to give our sales force a firsthand peek at how the
factory operates from the very beginning of motorcycle design and
production to the end product at our dealership. This was a perfect
time for our sales force to visit the factory as they were able to
view the new 2012 models and learn about the product coming over this
summer,” commented KTM’s Vice President of Sales Brad Hagi.

While at
the factory, the area sales managers were given a tour of the
factories engine plant, WP suspension facility and spare parts
division. Area Sales Managers also visited Kiska, KTM’s design
studio, where they met with focus groups discussing development of
future models for the North American market. The final day of the
trip was spent at the famous Salzburgring racetrack in Salzburg,
Austria where the area managers were able to test drive KTM’s race
car the X-Bow.

“I
speak on behalf of all the KTM Area Sales Managers when I say we are
very grateful we were given the opportunity to come to Austria and
visit the KTM factory. You can learn a lot from pictures and speaking
to our Austrian colleagues on the phone but nothing quite compares to
visiting the factory in person, viewing the assembly line, meeting
with the R&D developers and learning about the new models where
they were originated,” remarked KTM North West Area Sales Manager
Jason Dahners.
