Press Release

Justin Brayton- St. Louis Supercross

MDK KTM’s Justin Brayton made his debut in the premier Supercross class this past weekend, in St. Louis, MO. Brayton has been looking forward to getting a chance to shine in the 450 class, and that is just what he did.

After qualifying eighth overall in timed practice, Brayton felt confident leading into the night show. In the second Supercross class heat race, he got off the gate and into the first turn grabbing the holeshot. He continued to take charge, until Josh Hill caught him and passed him. Holding strong in second place though, Brayton battled with championship contender, Kevin Windham. While Windham did get by Brayton, he finished third in his first ever Supercross heat race.

In the first turn of the Supercross Main event, Brayton found himself, and his KTM 450 SX-F, in the top 10. He moved up to sixth quickly and then began to close in on Tommy Hahn and Nathan Ramsey. About half way through the race, Brayton said he landed on a tough block and the cover was intertwined with his bike. He tightened up a little bit after that, and Davi Millsaps slipped by him. Brayton went on to finish seventh for the night.

After the weekend Brayton said, “I am feeling really confident in my bike, myself, and my team. After such a long break from the West Coast Lites series, it was just what I needed to prepare myself for this coming weekend in Seattle. I’ve been training and riding a great deal, and hopefully it will pay off. My mechanic and the rest of the guys at MDK KTM have been working so hard, so I really want to be back on the box.”

Keep an eye out for more updates on Justin Brayton after the final round of the West Coast Lites series this weekend in Seattle, WA.
