Jeremy Martin Wins Dunlop Silver Tire Award

At the conclusion of the 40th Annual Mini Olympics amateur races held at
Gatorback Cycle Park in Florida, Dunlop-sponsored rider Jeremy Martin
earned the Dunlop Silver Tire Award. Martin earned the award for being
the top points-scoring A-class rider in a combined tally of Supercross
and Motocross races at the Mini-O event. Young Jeremy took the overall
win in the 250 A/Pro Stock class and earned an impressive 11 podium
finishes during the course of the week. The Dunlop Silver Tire award has
been given to the top scorer at the Mini-O’s for more than 20 years,
and Martin joins a host of outstanding riders.

This year’s Silver Tire trophy was in fact a one-of-a-kind piece of
artwork designed and created by renowned custom bike builder Jesse
Rooke. Fittingly enough, Rooke himself came from a background in
motocross racing during his early years.

“I was so surprised that I was the Silver Tire Award winner—I didn’t
know what to say,” Jeremy later stated after accepting the honor. “The
minute I first saw all the awards sitting on the table, I liked the
Silver Tire Award best because it was such a cool design, and also
because of all the past riders who had won it. When they handed it to me
I couldn't believe how heavy it was—I had a hard time holding it with
one hand! It’s so cool to be honored this way, and I hope that one day
I’ll be as successful as all of the other Dunlop Silver Tire Award
winners!”
