Jacob Williamson Begins 250SX East Coast Supercross Journey in Toronto 2

Michigan rider to make 250SX East Coast debut

As the Monster Energy AMA Supercross Series heads north of the border into Toronto, a new face will attempt to make his mark on the 250SX East Coast class. Hailing from Swartz Creek, Michigan, 18 year old Jacob Williamson will race his first ever Supercross race aboard his #373 Lasco Ford/MMCR Kawasaki KX 250F.

Earlier this year Jacob had some good success in the Amsoil Arenacross Series finishing up 3rd overall in the final Arenacross Lites East standings. He raced to the AX Lites Main Event win in Allentown, Pennsylvania back in January and looks to take that confidence into Toronto. He currently sits in 15th place in the Arenacross class, even after missing several rounds.

He will now shift his focus on the rest of the 250SX East Coast Series to gain experience and make as many main events as possible. The current plan is to make it to the last 6 rounds of the 250SX East Coast series and improve his results week-to-week. When asked about his expectations for Toronto, Jake showed confidence in his riding ability and training program. “Well I'm really hard on myself so I won't be happy unless I make the main, and if I do, I want a top 15.” If you see Jake in the pits, please stop by and wish him well. We will update you next week on how Jake's maiden voyage into Supercross goes.

Jake would like to thank all of his sponsors for supporting him in his Supercross quest: Arai/Lasco Ford/MMCR/Illusive Gloves/100%/Mobius/AXO/Works Connection/Hinson/Adidas/Speed Technologies/Slaka Wear/Speed Graphics/Rich Price/D&D Grips/GoPro.
