Husqvarna back in FIM Motocross World Championship MX2

FERMO (ITALY), 11 September 2010 –
Italian manufacturer Husqvarna has announced they will come back to race
the FIM MX1/MX2 Motocross World Championship campaign in 2011 with the
support of a top team –to be announced shortly- which will line up two factory
Husqvarna TC 250. The news was given through a press conference hosting
Husqvarna Racing Activities Coordinator and PR Martino Bianchi and

After three
successful seasons in the MX3 World Championship and in the EMX2 European
Championship, where Husqvarna took second in MX3 with Salvini as well as a
second and fourth position in the EMX2 in 2010, the manufacturer is eager
to take part again in the FIM Motocross World Championship which they left
at the end of 2005, their last season in MX1 with Antoine Meo and Daniele
Bricca.

Joining
forces with a well established team, which the manufacturer will announce
later on in the month, Husqvarna hopes in breaking into the MX2 top 10 in
2011 with its full factory squad. Also the two riders will be announced
later this month or in October.

The Husqvarna TC 250 will feature the fuel injection and the same type of
bike will continue being used in the EMX2 series where the manufacturer
will have satellite teams, competing also in the MX3 World Championship.

Husqvarna was created in 1903 and is currently owned by the BMW group. The
manufacturer owns 77 World Titles among all off road disciplines.
