Grant Langston’s National Defense Put On Temporary Hold

Cypress California, May 2, 2008 – While out practicing in preparation to defend his National Motocross title, Yamaha Factory rider Grant Langston suffered a serious crash yesterday at Glen Helen Raceway.

The crash occurred on Glen Helen’s famous Shoei Downhill and only involved Grant. The result of the crash was a concussion and a broken right collarbone. As a safety precaution Grant was transported to the local hospital by ambulance where he underwent extensive tests and a complete CAT scan. The preliminary reports are all positive as none of the test results came up abnormal.

This morning Grant saw his own personal doctor and already has surgery scheduled for Monday to plate his right collarbone.

“While plating the collarbone definitely speeds up the healing process I take concussions very serious. Also my eye isn’t 100% yet, so I’m not going to make any quick decisions to jump right back into the Nationals without being completely ready”, said Grant about his plans on returning to action.

Not one to be kept down by this setback Grant will be in Vegas signing autographs for all his diehard fans. “Luckily I’m a lefty so breaking my right collarbone won’t have any affect on me signing autographs”, said a rather upbeat Langston.
