FRANCIACORTA (ITALY), 4 October 2009 – From the site of the current Red Bull FIM Motocross of Nations Youthstream presented the venues of the forthcoming “Olympics of Motocross” in 2010 at Lakewood-Denver, USA, and in 2011 in St. Jean d’Angely, France. In this occasion Youthstream also announced the renewal of the contract with Ginasio Clube Agueda for the organization of the Portuguese GP.


In 2010 the Red Bull FIM Motocross of Nations will make its awaited comeback to the United States following the tremendous success of Budds Creek in 2007, the biggest motocross event ever held in the nation to date. On September 25-26th next year, Thunder Valley Motocross Park in Lakewood-Denver, Colorado, will host the 64th edition of this historical competition for the third running on the American soil. Mr. David Clabaugh, the owner of Thunder Valley MX Park, eagerly looks forward to intensifying the operations of his first MXoN and to establishing a new record in USA for the turnout of the event and for motocross in general. Throughout this process Thunder Valley MX Park will work tightly with Youthstream, that thanks to the impeccable work of its US branch starting this strong partnership in the country of the most successful team in the history of the Red Bull FIM Motocross of Nations.

In 2011 the Motocross of Nations, which started off in 1947 and is currently the biggest and most important off road event in the planet, is set to return to France at Saint Jean D’Angely, a regular host of the FIM Motocross World Championship and now due to organize the Nations again after the year 2000. The last time the event was run in France (Ernee) dates back to 2005 when Team USA headed by Ricky Carmichael beat Pichon’s home team France and Everts’ Belgium. The venue of St. Jean has been able to develop its infrastructures throughout a solid cooperation with series promoter Youthstream and by 2011 will have reached all goals of its long term development plan (spectators areas, track improvements, general infrastructures) to be able to host a great MXoN. The event will see a strong cooperation in between the Motoclub Angerien, owning the race track, and the French Federation.

Having been a popular venue in the FIM Motocross World Championship calendar for many years, Agueda will continue hosting a Grand Prix until 2012. Youthstream and local organizer Ginasio Clube de Agueda have renewed their mutual agreement as representatives of Ginasio Clube de Agueda Mr. Luis Sa Pereira (President) and Alfredo Castro (Portuguese Federation/President of Motocross Commission) headed to Franciacorta for the signing of the agreement. This year Agueda’s Grand Prix of Portugal was made special by home rider Goncalves’ victory which resulted in a record crowd of 25000 spectators throughout the weekend. The venue has also played host to the well known FIM Women’s World Championship which completed a full weekend of Motocross racing offered to the passionate Portuguese fans.
