Fly Racing’s Short Claims 450 Moto Win



AMA Outdoor Motocross
Series, Round 4 – Mechanicsville, Maryland



The AMA Lucas Oil Motocross made stop number four this past weekend at
Budd’s Creek MX in Mechanicsville, Maryland and it was a great weekend
of racing for Fly Racing. The weather and track conditions were near
perfect and Fly Racing riders had a great weekend of finishes. The
highlight of the weekend though had to be Fly team rider Andrew Short’s
stunning first moto victory. Shorty pulled the holeshot and checked out
for his first moto win of the year!

450 Class Highlights

Fly Riders Andrew Short, Weston Peick, Ben Evans, Kyle Regal, Josh
Clark, and Terren O’Dell all qualifying for Motos. In Moto one it was
Honda Red Bull Racing’s Andrew Short with the holeshot and riding his
way to his first Moto win of the year! Fly riders Kyle Regal and Ben
Evans were close behind, finishing 11th and 15th respectively. Weston
Peick and Josh Clark rounded out the top 20 in Moto one finishing 17th
and 20th.


In Moto two it was more of the same with Andrew Short with another
holeshot setting him up for another great finish with a 5th. Merge
Racing/American Honda backed rider Kyle Regal also has a good second
Moto finishing 15th with fellow Fly rider and Team Ti-Lube/Brown Racing
backed rider Ben Evans close behind in 16th. Weston Peick rounded out
the top twenty for Fly racing with a 19th place finish in Moto two.

Lites Class Highlights


In the Lites class it was Fly riders Max Anstie, Broc Tickle, Martin
Davalos, Alex Martin, Mike Picone, Kyle Gills, along with privateers
Hunter Clements, Preston Mull, Michael Akaydin, and Tony Gallo all
making it out of timed qualifying to put themselves into motos for the
day.


In Moto one it was DNA Shred Stix/Star Racing rider Broc Tickle Leading
the way finishing 6th followed by fellow DNA rider Max Anstie in 8th
with fellow Fly rider Alex Martin close behind finishing 15th.


In Moto two it was more of the same, and leading the way was Broc Tickle
finishing 5th with Martin Davalos finishing 10th followed closely by
Tony Gallo and Kyle Gills finishing 19th and 20th.
