closes out season with strong finish at final round of
Monster Energy AMA Supercross in Las Vegas

Team athletes Casey Hinson and Ricky Renner competed in Lites West and

East Region main events, respectively, at the final round in Las Vegas

HOUSTON (May 17, 2011) – The
beginning of the season saw a major expansion for Shea Racing’s effort
in Monster Energy AMA Supercross, an FIM Championship, with a full-on,
competitive Lites team with corporate sponsorship. Team Violation1.com/Shea Racing/Travisa/National
Switchgear, powered by Munn Racing, capped off the year at the final
round in Las Vegas, Nevada with the presence ofCasey Hinson and Ricky Renner in the series’ final Lites main events.

Las Vegas
was the fastest, hardest packed track of the 17 rounds, highlighted by
a high-speed straightaway that led from outside the stadium. For the
first time, both 250cc Lites Class regions held their final mains at
Sam Boyd Stadium on Saturday, May 7, followed by the Dave Coombs Sr.
Memorial Shootout. In order to participate in the Lites regional main
events in front of the packed stadium and a live SPEED TV audience,
riders needed to qualify in the top 20 during the timed practice
sessions.

Renner
#94 and Hinson #149 qualified for the Lites East Region and Lites West
Region main events, respectively, thanks to their Eleven 10
Mods/DR.D/Enzo Suspension-modified KTM 250 SX-F. Their teammate Tevin Tapia #70 missed the Lites West main by only one spot ending his run of main event appearances after an impressive return from injury. Vernon McKiddie #129
had a mechanical that kept him off the bike during the second timed
qualifying, nixing his chances to improve in order to make the Lites
East main event.

The
stage was set for the two 15-lap, 20-rider Lites main events. The Lites
East Region was the first to line up at the gate, which included Team Violation1.com/Shea Racing/Travisa/National
Switchgear’s Renner. He kicked off two main event appearances for the
team in the same night. Renner rode determined throughout the race and
crossed the line in 18th place. This was his fourth main event finish
of the season.

The
second race of the night was the Lites West Region main. The FLY
Racing-clothed athlete Hinson was ready for battle. He only missed two
main events during the previous eight rounds. Hinson took advantage of
his KTM power, driven by Supersprox and IRIS Chains, to compete for a
top 15 finish. At the checkers, he notched 15th earning his seventh
main event finish of the season.

With
both regional main events in the books, Hinson and Renner headed to the
LCQ to compete for one of two spots for the Dave Coombs Sr. Shootout.
Hinson got a great start in the LCQ while Renner was mired back in the
pack of the four-lap race. Hinson was running in second early with
Maxima Racing Oils and DT-1 Filters becoming key in this dry, dusty
race. He battled to try to keep the final transfer spot. Hinson was
passed and was not about to give up. When trying to pass his competitor
back to regain second place, he crashed. Renner, Hinson and the rest of
the Shea Racing team would end to their season, and not without many
accomplishments.

“Every
one of our riders put their heart out on the track this entire season,”
said Tim Shea, team manager. “In the end, we gated 53 times,
participated in 25 heats, raced 16 LCQ’s, and competed in 12 mains
under the AMA Supercross lights.”

Shea added, "I
can't thank our team sponsors enough, this season would not have been
possible without the help and support from all of them. Doug, Robert,
Adam from National Switchgear and Jan from Travisa were the backbone of
our season, it was an honor to work with them. I look forward to many
more successful years with them on board. Chip and Dan from Munn Racing,
