FMF Racing’s Jason Lawrence Captures 2008 West Coast Lights Title

FMF Racing’s Jason Lawrence won the first title of his young career by capturing the 2008 West Coast Lights Championship in Seattle, WA. The day did not start off as planned for Lawrence, who in first practice had a few mistakes and posted the sixth fastest lap time. However, Lawrence came out swinging in the second practice and posted the fastest lap time of the day to earn the first gate pick in his heat.

As the racing got underway, Lawrence did not get a good jump in his heat and started mid-pack, however by the end of the race he had methodically moved his way into second place to transfer directly to the main event. Qwest field was on its feet as the Lights main event got underway, and Lawrence did not disappoint by getting a great start inside the top five. Knowing that he needed a podium to clinch the championship, Lawrence rode a smart race to finish second and become the newly crowned 2008 West Coast Lights Champion. FMF Racing would like to congratulate Jason Lawrence and the entire Yamaha of Troy team for a well deserved championship.

Riding for FMF, Lawrence uses the Factory 4.1 exhaust system with a Megabomb header. For more info on FMF Racing products please visit www.fmfracing.com
